John Colling (Mr Kirk) v Eruest VVilson. —Claim, £9 16s, arrears due, Order made for payment forthwith; in default, one month's imprisonment in Hokitika gaol. A prohibition order was issued against a local resident on his own application, WARDEN'S COURT, ST. BATHANS. Thomas A, Lowis (Mr Kirk), —Watcr-racc from Shepherd's Creek, Blackstone Hill. Objected to by William M'Devitt (Mr M'Neil) and Henry Armitage.—After evidence had been given by objectors, the application was grantad unconditionally, Henry Symes (Mr Kirk), —Application to register four cyanide vala at Rough Ridge. —Granted. MAGISTRATE'S COURT, BLACKS. On the 7th inst. a special sitting of the court was held before Messrs J. Pitches and J. M'Kuight, J.'sP.. when William J. Stephens, who had been remanded from Naseby, was charged with the theft of a, guu, the property of J. D. M'Lennan, Matukauui. Evidence was given by M'Lennan and his wife, W. M, Gordon (who denied that he had sold the gun to accused) and Constable M'Rue of Milton, (who found the gun in accused's possession) Accused's defeuce was that he had purchaser! the gun from Gordou f*<r £l, and after Mr Kirk (who appeared for accused) had addressed the Bench, the case was dismissed. Constable Taylor (Opir) conducted the prosecution. At the Warden's Court, Patearoa, on Mouday, the only application was one by P, Jensen for protection for alluvial claim, Linnburn, which was granted. There is no new business down for hearing at the Warden's Court, Naseby, ou Monday.
