CRICKET.
The annual meeting of the .Naseby Cricket Club was held at the Fire Brigade Station, on Thursday, the 22nd. The President, Mr B. C; Cutten. was in the chair.
The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and confirmed. The balance-sheet, showing a debit balance of £1 15s 6d, was read and adopted on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mi! O'Driscoll.
Mr H. A. B'oddington was elected a member oi the club.
The following office-bearers were elected' for the incoming season : 0. Cutten ; ,vice presidents, Messrs Moss; Qeddea", JnoV Brown, Kirk', Bryan, Dr/Macknight and M'Ennis ; captain, Mr H. A.' B'oddington; deputy captain, Mr A. Marslin; secretary and treasurer, Mr E. Newman ; delegates to the M.C.A., captain and secretary; match committee, captain, deputy and Mr O'Driscoll; geueral committee, Messrs-Stewart, J. Hore, K. and D. Marshall. ■■'
Resolved—That a bat be presented to Mr Malcolm, winner of the batting average (19-2), and also to Mr B. Hore, winner of the bowling average (3'o). Resolved- That in future the averages be made, from, foreign matches instead of " matches arranged and notified by the committee ",as formerly. The opening day was fixed for Labour Day.
