Several cases of sheep worrying are reported in the" neighbourhood of Naseby. We have been asked to draw the attention of the dog tax collectors to the fact-. If the owners of valueless curs were made to pay for .all their pets the number might be reduced to the benefit of their neighbours and'-others. Last week two of the local butchere Were the sufferers. Thirty-one sheep disappeared from tHe paddocks near the slaughlecyards. After searching in vain for three days information was re ceived that three of the lost sheep were on the road at Lower Kyeburn. These were recovered. One of the dogs (a sliit) causing the damage in this, case was a legacy left by afamily who recently removed to Dunedir. vrithout-either providing'a new owner for or destroying their-pe't," - The Hon W.
