CONCERT AT KOKONGA.

The Concert which was held in the schoolat Kokonga on the evening of Fri lay, 15th inst.', in aid of the school funds, was an undoubted success; The school was coriifortably filled and the weather was fine. Mr Williamson, chairman of school committee, presided, and the following ladies and eentlemen contributed items Mesdames Glendinning dnd Cutten. MisseS Harris, M'Culloch and Mathias and Messrs Pringle, Dickison, Ball, Bremner, and Glendinning. The programme cothptised pianoforte selections, sones, recitations and an amusing reading, and was cohcliided by all singing the National Anthem. Mrs Glendinning acted as accompanist. Altogether a very pleasant evening" was spint and the committee's funds benefited to the extent of £6 8s clear. The usual complimentary votes of thanks were accorded, and after a very large anl tempting assortment of cakes, &.c., had been handed round and enjoyed the room was cleared for dancing, which the young people enjoyed for a few hours. 18th August, 1902.
