A farmer was riding a donkey one day across a sheep pasture, but; when tiie animal came to a sheep drain lie would not go over. So the man rode back a short distance, turne l, applied his "whip, thinking the donkey, when at full speed, would jump the drain. But when the donkey got to the drain he stopped sharply, and tlfe mnn went over his head And cleared the drain.
