o Messrs Stronach Bros, and Morris report for the week eudiug Sth February" 1899, as follows : Rabbitskins.—Ko sales this week. Sheepskins.—The market remaius firm, bidding being very brisk at the weekly sales, more especially for fine-woolled skins.

Wheat.—The market remains dull, there being very little demand. Oats.—Market quiet. Prime milling, Is 9d ; good and best feed. Is Sd to Is S.\d ; medium, Is 6d to Is 7Jd per bushel (sacks in).

Chaff.—The market has been over~snpplied during the week and prices are slightlv easier. Prime oaten sheaf, £2 15s to £2 17s 6d ; extra, £3 ; medium to good, £2 5s to £2 12s 6d per ton (bags extra). Potatoes.—Best kidneys, £2 10s to £2 12s 6d ; medium £2 5s to £2 Ts 6d per ton (bags in). o BDRNSIDE MARKET. Wednesdat, Feb. 8. Cattle.—l3l yarded, mostly prime. There was rather keen competion for the primest. Best bullocks, £S to £10: best heifers. £5 10s to £7 15s ; others, £3 lis to £4 15s.

Fat Lambs.—l 793 yarded, a large number of which were stores, the rest mostly butchers' lines, with some small lots suitable for the chamber. Tne last parted at late rates, the rest easier. Best, 9s to IDs 6d ; medium, 7s 6d to 8s 9d ; others, 5s 9d to 7s 3d.

Fac Sheep.—279s offered, the most of them aged ewes of medium quality, with a few pens of prime wethers. On the first prices receded Is to 2s ; on the latter prices were about equal to those recentlr ruliug. Primest crossbred wethers, lis 6d to 14s 9d°; others, 10s 3d to lis 3d; beat ewes, 9s to 10s 9d ; others, 6s to 8s 9<L Pigs.—About 29 sold at quotations.
