HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.

The monthly meeting of the Trustees was held on Friday last, 30th nit., when there were present Messrs Donnelly (chair), Jones, Guffie, Herdman, Ferguson, Hall, Moss and Jackson.

The doctor's report showed that during the month 27 patients were treated and that 17 bad been discharged, leaving 10 still in the hospital. jHe handed in £3l 15s, moneys received for maintenance and as donations, while donations in kind had been made bv ■jMiss Sarah Pullen, Mesdames Kerr and Scott, Messrs Dow, Paterson, and Spedderri of 21bs butter, five geese, cream, dressed lamb. He thanked the trustees for connecting bis residence by telephone, a convenience by which he recognised that he was the chief gainer. He suggested that the Visiting Committee might consider the question of erecting a lamp-post at the front gate of the hospital grounds: Cn the motion of Mr Guffie, it was resolved that the, report be received and the suggestions contained therein agreed to. On the motion of Mr Guffie, the chairman, Messrs Herdman, Moss, and the mover, were appointed a committee to overlook the annual report and balance-sheet The Chairman mentioned that Mr C. Hore had placed some of his pipes on the reserve without permission, but.as it was shown that he had done this under the impression that his father had actually gained the requisite permission, after consideration it was resolved on the motion of Mr Ferguson, seconded by Mr Herdman, that Mr Hore be granted permission to retain the pipes in their present position but that before any deviation is made, the permission of the trustees must be obtained.

On the motion of Mr Jones, seconded by Mr Moss, accounts amounting to £75 17s 9d were passed for payment. The bank Recount was in credit £1 13s 3d .and the secretary intimated that be had since the proceeding meeting banked £92 Is 9d and had in hand £32 15s.
