At the monthly meeting of the Borough Council held on Monday evening, there were present—the Mayor (Mr A. L. Herdmnn), Crs B*ll, Donnelly, Ferguson, Rvuns, Clenn, and Dawson, the lust, named taking his seat for the first time us haccessor to the lute C'r Sim.
An application by Mr Jus. Dawson for transfer of his contract to Mr Wm. Siifeston was grunted on the motion of Cr Kvuns. seconded by Cr Ball. The lmlauce-sheet for the half year ended September 30th, which had now been certified as correal by tin: Audit Department was approved and tlio Mi.yor wus auth'.i isud to r.igii it. The Mayor wm authorised to arrange for an overdraft from ; tim« to time.
Cr Dawson wan appointed to the Finance Committee it) tho place of Cr Sim arirl the Mayor und Cr Mitchell wero authorised to fcign cheque* drawn on the borough fund. 'J'he Inspector of Nuisance* whs instructed to carry out thn provisions of the Impounding Act with regard to cattle wandering aWit the borough struct*. Accotu is amounting to £6O Cs 2«1 were passed for payment.
