All these scene* are familiar to Kew Zealand tourists and the artist hits seized the salient points in the landscape and painted them with undoubted skill. Mr Williamson's work is considerably above the average of Ihe ordinary colonial artists and as he does not put a phenomenally high price on. his productions he should have no difficulty in disposing of them. TnE friends of Mr J. J. Ramsay, who has taken a very prominent part iu public affairs in this district for a number of years, intend to entertain him at a social, not a banquet as originally proposed, in Naseby prior to his leaving the district.
