MINING ON ROADS.
TO THE EIViTOR. . Sir, —I notice in your last report of tlie Borough Council that they seem to have the convenience and safety of people travelling to and fiom the town at heart. . They complain of the state the road is in dowu at the claim now worked by Inder Bros., which many people prefer to walk round rather than cross the uccustomed track they have used this 25 or 30 years, which is in a disgraceful state owii'tg to Mr John Hofe's cluim xvhich ia at work there: If the Borough Counsil would turn their attention to this truck they would do some good td the travelling public. 1 um, &c.
