NASEBY PUBLIC SCHOOL.

,The following is a table of the results of the examination of the school, which was conducted by Mr Petrie on 9th inst. :

Percentage of individual passes, 62. The accompanying report is of a very disappointing and unfavorable nature We refrain. from publishing it in full. It says thai the discipline, attention, and order of the school were got d ; and that is about all, of a favorable character, that it contains. Allowance has to be made, of course, for the fact that the school, was closed for a month on account of measles during the spring, and it was an additional disadvantage that ' * it was examined so quietly after the holidays. For the first time in the history of the school, the sixth: standard, has "been passed—five, children out of eight going through. The percentage of passes in the thi> d, fourth, and fifth standards is extraordinary. '
