London, Feb. 7. A letter containing an explosive material, addressed to Mr Porster, Chief Secretary for Ireland, bas been discovered. The police obtained possession of. and destroyed the package. Melbourne, Feb. 8. The Victorian Baeiag Club has decided that all- Mr de Mestre's horses that were; entered for the Sires Produce Stakes, at the Autumn Meeting, to be held nejt month, were wrongly nominated, and they have accordingly been disqualified for that race.
