In the House to-day the report of the Public Accounts Committee, on Dr Pollen's pension was brought up, and ordered to be considered on Thnrsday. It was to the effect that irregularities had occurred.in regard to the matter. The House then wentinto Comm.tt.ee' on the Regulation.:: of; Elections.' Bill, when the clause abolishing open nominations was struck out by 24 t0.23. : There is , not much doing in the House. A Frozen Meat Export Company, has been started in Wellington. There are no fresh cases of small-pox on the Charles Worsl9y. .The Government are going to communicate, with the local Board of Health what steps to take. Mr Stout telegraphed to the Grvoernment re the unemployed. He got a reply from the Premier that the Government have no works upon which they could give employment. ! 200 people arrived by the special Exhibition train from Christchurch and other places;this morning. In the Legislative Assembly, last night a vote of want of confidence in the Ministery ?vas carried; on a division, by 41 to 38, excluding the pairs. Mirams and Longmore voted with the Government, and Mr D. Gaunson voted against them. A Cabinet Council is summoned for to-day, to consider, the position. . It is . expected that Ministers will recommend the Governor to dissolve Parliament, but it is considered unlikely that his Excellency will accede to their request. • >.
