KYEBURN PICNIC.

; The children's picnic in connection with the Kyeburn Diggings Sunday School took place on Thursday-last, on the flat adjoining the school." The weather was all that could be desired—the sun if anything rather hot. The children mustered to tbe number of ahout forty or fifty, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The Sunday .School children wereexamiued, and prizes given, and small gift ; bpoks. were distributed to those who were not so fortunate as to obtain a prize. A lengthy programme of sports was gone' through, into which tlie children entered with great spirit. The children were next treated to tea and cake in the schoolroom. A goodly muster of parents and friends were present, who seemed to enjoy themselves as heartily as the children. The ladies were indefatigable in their efforts to give an'abundant supply, and succeeded to the satisfaction of every-one—the tea being notably'good.
