Gratis was imported this season from Melbourne by the proprietor at considerable expense, and was selected personally by him from among some of the finest horses of his class. To offer inducements to breeders, the proprietor is willing to arrange with persons who will guarantee seven mares for tne cost of six, the person so arranging to be responsible for payment, and having the option, at She-same time; of: dividing the maresbetweon Pride of Maniototo, Gratis, and Quicksand. Pride of Maniototo, as a yearling, took first prize at the Geelong Pastoral and Agricultural Show, and as a two-year old carried off first honors at the same Show. This Hplendid animal was imported from Melbourne this season by the proprietor at considerable expense, and was selected personally by him from among some of the finest horsses in Victoria. Pride of-Maniototo has great bone and muscle, a docile temper, and perfect points. To offer inducements to breeders the proprietor is willing to ai-rangenvith persons who will guarantee seven mares for the cost of six, the person arranging to be responsible for payment, and having the option, at the same time, of dividing the mares between Pride of Maniototo, Gratis, or Quicksand.
