THE NOMINATION.
The nomination day at Naseby passed off. very quietly. Our full report of proceedings we are compelled to keep out. Mr. H. W: Robinson, Returning Officer, presided. Mr. John Ewing: proposed by Mr. George Albert Chapman, and seconded by Mr. John M'Gregor, as a fit and proper person tore' present the district in the Provincial Council. Mr. Richard Henry Leary: proposed by Mr. Henry Woodhill, and seconded by JVlr. James Hore. " Mr. John Philip Armstrong: proposed by Mr. Shannon, and seconded by Mr. D. Stewart. Mr. Michael Dillon: proposed by Mr. J. Gr. Bremner, and seconded by Mr. Michael Brookes. A show of hands was called for, resulting' as follows:—Mr. Ewing, 3; Mr. Leary, 6; Mr. Armstrong, 4; and Mr. M. Dillon, 4. Mr. Bremner demanded a poll on behalf of. Mr, Dillon. Mrl Ewing, Mr. Leary, and Mr. Dillon briefly addressed those present. P Mr. Shannon, an. behalf of Mr. Armstrong, said a few. straightforward words; - -, The meeting then dispersed. About forty persons we're present."
