RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT NASEBY.-Dec. 7.
Licensing Meeting,
At one o'clock p.m., there not being a sufficient nlimber of Magistrate's, to form. a. quorum, Mr. Eobinson stated that, as there was no power under the Licensing Ordinance to "adjourn the Meeting in consequence of there being no "quorum, there remained '.opchi to him. but one course, namely,'to forward the several applications to Dunedin, to be dealt with, by the Superintendent. His Worship then read .over the names of the several applicants, and inquired of Mr. Sergeant-Mai orMoore if- the' Police intended, or wished, to otter opposition to the granting any of the; applications. . Sergeant Moore stated that; lie had no oppnsition to offer except: in the case of Andrew Costello, who had not commenced the erection of the house for which appli6ation£wai3 made for a license. V
