AMATEUR DRAMATICS.
(To the Jiditor of the Mou.vx I o.i CmiO^IOLE.) My Dear Mr. Editor,. —I a:n so qlad to find that you appreciate the beauties of the drama, and recognise tuc advantages of dramatic representations. I think, Sir, the thanks of* the public are due to "Amateur" for having introduced the subject of the institution of au amateur dramatic company I feel sure that such a corps, once set in motion, would increase in strength and usefulness uutil it became not only a pleasure source of entertainment to the people, but, at the same time, a credit to the town of Nasebv, The great difficulty usually experienced in trotting up amateur dramatic entertainments is the dearth of ladies able and willing to undertake female character. I feel sure, however, that this difficulty will be less felt here than it has been elsewhere, as I know of several ladies who would gladly lend a "helping hand in so <rooda cause, amonjj whom is, .Sir, your obedient servant, P. L.
