FOXTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
’ COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting of the Foxton Horticultural Society was held at the residence of Mrs R. 0. Horn, blow on Monday evening and was presided over by the President (Mrs Hornblow). Also present were Mesdamcs T. Hughes, AY. Woodham, F. Procter, E. J. Murphy, Messrs G. Cull, A. Robinson, I. W. Mudfoi'd, D Christie, Miss E. Barber and the secretary (Mr. AY. J. Nye). Several apologies l'or absence were received. The secretary submitted a balance sheet for the summer show which disclosed a loss of £5. It was decided to arrange for a competition to supplement the returns iorthwith, the competition to he decided in May. Special mention was made of the, great assistance the Scout troup had been in connection wth the removal of the show to the Masonic Hall and the housing of the Society’s property, and it was decided to make a donation to the Scout comiiiittce forthwith and 1 supplement the amount as soon as funds permit. It was decided to hold the annual meeting of the society early in June.
