Mrs 11. M. Klein, of Palmerston North, is at present visiting Foxton and is the-guest of Mg and Mrs S. E. Cowley.

Mrs R. Jamieson and Mrs K. Dean and family, of Palmerston North, are spending .the school holidays at Foxton beach. One of the best-known and probably oldest of Auckland’s business men, Mr Henry Charles Choyce, died at his home in Remuera yesterday in his ninety-eighth year. Mr. Choyce was founder and for a long period managing-director of Milne and Choyce, Limited. He retired from active business 16 years ago, but remained a director of the company until his death. His connection with the drapery trade in Auckland covered a period of about 65 years.
