OCCUPANTS’ LUCKY ESCAPE

.■ To emerge from an overturned car without any serious injury was the good fortune of four men yesterday afternoon in the vicinity of the Palmerston North gasworks. The driver was George Ijtonald Frost, employed by the Public Works Department, who had as passengers, James Arthur Jenks v James Delaney and Norman Arthur Reynolds. The car had just overtaken a, lorry and was about to pull back on to its correct side of the road when a rear tyre burst. The driver lost control and the car shot off the road on to the grass, turning over on its side, to be damaged considerably. The foufi inside crawled out shaken but unhurt except for- Delaney, who was slightly dazed.
