ALL SAINTS’ LADIES GUILD.
SOCIAL AFTERNOON.
Despite the very wintry 'conditions prevailing on Tuesday afternoon last there was a most satisfactory attendance at the monthly social afternoon of All Saints’ Ladies Guild which was held in the Anglican schoolroom and a very happy time was spent by all present. .Several unique and amusing competitions formed the entertainment provided, the winners in each case being as follows: —Observation table: Mrs Cecil Robinson; Darts: Mrs H. Robinson; Candle Lighting: Mrs L. C. Bryant; Gold Star: Mrs W. E. Barber; Darts: Mrs P. C. Raikes; Jumbled N.Z. Towns: Mrs C. H. Symons. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames E. W. Thane, P. S. Easton, F. A. Mason, W. M. Thomas, R. Easton, S. Austin, E. J. Murphy, Nockles, and Miss Thomas, and a delicious afternoon tea was provided. At the conclusion of tea Rev. E. W- Burgin thanked the ladies for their attendance and also apologised for the absence of Mesdames A. S. Easton and E...W. Burgin. The afternoon proved to be most successful both financially and socially.
