OLD OFFENDER SENTENCED.
Auckland, May 25. A sentence of six years’ imprisonment with hard labour was passed by Mr Justice Fair, on Frederick Morrison, aged 54. retired, for indecent assault on a boy. In 1932 accused was sentenced to three years reformative detention jfor a similar offence. The judge said that accused had arranged for the boy to live with him and had repeated the offences of which he had previously been found guilty. “It seems that nothing can be said to palliate these offences, which continued over a period of four months,” said his Honour.
Accused was sentenced to two year’s’ imprisonment on each of three charges, the terms to be cumulative.
