The team to represent the Foxton Tennis Club in a match to be played against Otalbi on the local courts on Saturday afternoon is as folloAVs: Misses J. Mason, B. Hunt, L. Thompson and Mrs Husband; Messi*s L. SayAvell, R. Read, D. Chrystall and D. Speirs. Lady member are requested to bring a basket to assist with the catering. At a' meeting of the Manawatu Luavu Tennis Association held in Palmerston North this week it was decided that the Shannon Club’s match Avith Foxton be played on January 25. Arrangements were discussed for the association’s tournament on January 18 aud 22, and it was eventually resolved that the programme comprise men’s and women’s handicap singles, men’s and women’s chaxnpionship singles, men’s champonship doubles and women’s handicap doubles.
The scale of fees Avas fixed as f olloavs . —Men’s and Avomen’s championship singles, 3s; men’s championship doubles, 2s 6d each; men’s aud Avomen’s handicap singles, 2s; Avomen’s handicap doubles, 2s each.
