BOWLING.

GALA DAY ON WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, weather permitting,, the local bowling green . (and croquet courts) will be opened by the president, Mr Bert Hinds. It was decided at the last meeting of the Committee to hold a gala day on this occasion, in -the form of a rinks competition, when trophies will be offered as prizes. There will be no entry fee. Given fine weather a good number of visitors are expected and the function should give a good “kick off” to the season.

Local bowlers and croquet players are asikied to bring a basket to assist with the catering arrangements.
