NEW* ZEALAND’S CONGRATULATIONS.

His Excellency the GovernorGeneral sent the following message to his Majesty the, King:

“On behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand I beg to express to your Majesty with my humble duty the great interest which is felt in the announcement of the birth of a son to her Royal Highness the Duchess of Kent and to offer the respectful congratulations of your Majesty’s subjects in this Dominion on the happy event.”

NEW ZEALAND GREEKS’ MESSAGE.

Pahiatua, October 11.

Mr Franfk Dyer, Wellington, Consul for Greece in New Zealand, who is at present spending a fishing holiday at Pahiatua, has sent on behalf of Greeks in the Dominion, the following cable to the Duchess of Kent: “Greeks in New Zealand rejoice with you both and send congratulations on the arrival of a son and heir.”
