FOXTON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.

END OF TERM SOCIAL. A most enjoyable breaking up social was held at the Foxton High School on Thursday evening when pupils of the Secondary Department gathered for the final social of the term. There was a good attendance an all present spent a very pleasant evening. During the evening the programme todk the form of items, dancing and competitions. Items were contributed by the following: Wireless Mix-up: B. Smith, J. Shorthouse, M. Simm, G. Baird. A song “Little Man You’ve Had a Busy Day,” was ' sung by- Jean Veale; a monologue was given by C. Gates, a yodelling item by Elsie Speirs, and a piano recital by S. Spring.

A Monte Carlo waltz was won In V. Bowden and V. Sutton.

A bounteous supper was provided and served by the pupils, after which dancing was resumed and continued to midnight.
