TOWN HALL TALKIES.
DELIGHTFUL MUSICAL COMEDY.
The beauties of coloured photography have never been seen to such advantage as in “Kiss Me Again,” the big musical comedy screening finally at the Town Hall to-night. But beauty is not the only thing this film boasts. It has a sparkling romantic plot—a half a dozen song hits—several spectacular dance scenes —and the comedy of Frank McHugh, Edward Everett Horton and Claude Gillingwater. Bernice Claire, who plays Fifi, the dressmaker’s model, who becomes an Opera, star, is heard in three big song hits, chief of which is the theme song, “Kiss Me Again.” Walter Pidgeon’s rare baritone voice is heard, in a desert number, and Claude Gillingwater brings smiles with his humorous “I Want What 1 Want When I Want It.” A male chorus of 50 sings several stirring marching songs and the midinettes chorus is heard in two snappy numbers. Altogether “Kiss Me Again” can be aptly described as a feast for the eyes, and a treat for the ears. The supporting features to-night are of a varied nature and include some fine impersonations by Florence Desmond, of Tallulah Bankhead, Marlene Dietrich and Gracie Fields.
