The death of a youth under unusual circumstances Avas the subject of an inquest Avhich opened on Thursday at Southland Hospital before Mr E. C. Lewey, S.M. On November 2, according to the evidence, William Nicol, aged 17, employed on a farm at • Springhills, was feeding calves, Avhen one of them butted against him 'and he AA-as throAvn against a food trough. He Avas brought to Southland Hos- - pital suffering from severe abdominal injuries, from which he died on Wednesday. .
