MOTOR TAXATION.

Investigation of motor taxation Avas commenced to-day by the Transport Co-ordination Board. A number of organisations have notified their intention of giving evidence, these including the Municipal Association, Counties Association, Farmers’ Union, carrying organisations, etc. EA'idenee on behalf of the North, and South Island Motor Unions Avas given to-day by Mr W. G. Walldey, who submitted that the manner in which motor taxation Avas noAV being applied Avas unreasonably high, unsound in principle and unjust.
