BURIED OPIUM.
Singapore, October 29. Customs officers discovered 31 petrol tins of opium buried in a cave on an uninhabited island. The officers had been searching for weeks among hundreds of islands and along miles of coastline, but the task was hazardous owing to sharks, octopi, crocodiles and dense jungle. It is believed there are several other caches along the coast.
