Palmerston North, August 16. As' a sequel to a collision between two cars on the Palmerston North-Wanganui highway near Sanson on the night of July 1 Bertram John Frecklington, farmer, of Ohakea, appeared before Air. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Palmerston North Magistrate's (Court on Tuesday, on charges of being intoxicated in charge of a ear and with negligent driving. After lengthy evidence had been heard Frecklington was convicted and fined £5 and £4 12/5 costs on the charge of negligent driving, while the charge of intoxication was dismissed on the grounds that the evidence was conflicting. - 1
