RUSSIAN SARGEFF GETS TWELVE MONTHS.
FOR BEING IN POSSESSION OF BOMB. Auckland, August 12. George Sargen, avlio was found guilty of being in possession of a ibomb and gelignite with intent to commit a crime, was sentenced today by his Honour Miv Justice Smith to twelve months’ hard labour. His Honour said it had not been proved that prisoner was an active member of any organisation whose avoAved object Avas the destruction of society, but it Avas impossible to regard his offences lightly. In vieAV of his good record only half the full penalty Avould Ibe imposed.
