HIMATANGI-RANGIOTU ROAD.
SEALING QUESTION. The Manawatu County Council on Tuesday received notification from the Alain Highways Board to the effect that the council’s application for further consideration in regard to the Himatangi-Rangiotu Road 'Avould be undertaken when the current year’s estimates Avere being prepared. The board stated further that it did not favour proposals affecting highways Avorks Avhere commitments against a future fund Avere involved.
The chairman (Cr. Barber) said the case of the road had been fully considered iby the Main IligliAvavs Board and the council may hear something more favourable later. The board Avas making a great effort to see Avhether it could not meet the council’s application to seal some of the road.
