CREDITORS INDIGLN ANT. Auckland, June 25. “Never before has a bankrupt been treated Avith swell a degree of tenderness and consideration,” declared counsel for one creditor of Winifred Baker, clerk, adjudicated bankrupt by Mr. justice Herdmau. When the creditors’ meeting resumed to-day strong exception was taken to the assignee's ruling Unit further inquiry would be ueesesary. There was a sharp dispute over the admissibility of proofs of debt. For tin.' assignee it was seated that it was his duty lo satisfy himself as to elaims which followed on the bankrupt’s money borrowing atid lending- transactions.

E\'enl unity the meeting adjourned without progress.
