PERSONAL

The friends of Mr. A. Smith, who is seriously ill in the Palmerston North Hospital, will be pleased to learn that he has now taken a turn for the better. The condition of the Chief Justice (Sir Charles Skerrett), who underwent a serious operation at Wellington recently, is less satisfactory than it was when the last medical bulletin was issued. The death occurred at Wellington on Sunday of Mr. George Tiller, in his eighty-second year. The greater portion of his life was spent in Wellington, while his association with the Wesleyan Church goes back some sixty years. He retired from business a number of years ago.
