MEETING OF WOMEN TOMORRO'W AFTERNOON.

The Mayor has convened a meeting of women for to-morrow afternoon, qit 2.30 o’clock, in the Town Hull supper-room, for the purpose of making arrangements for the weekly visit of a Plunket Nurse. For some time Marton and Palmerston shared the services of a nurse, but now the districts are separated, and Nurse Bosher devotes the whole of her time to the Palmerston centre. This will enable Foxton to be linked up, provided a guarantee of £3O per year can he assured. The advantages to mothers in being able to obtain the advice of a skilled nurse needs no comment. The whole details of the scheme will be fully explained (by Mrs Lionel Abraham, Nurse Bosher and Miss Cook to-morrow afternoon. It is hoped that mothers will attend and bring their babies, and in fact, all women interested in motherhood and the care of infants, will be specially welcome. We are informed «that Ur ere is every prospect of success in the movement, and that being so, the services of the nurse will he available without delay.
