The programme screened last night, Avhieh includes the mighty drama of the far north, “Code of the Yukon,” Avill be repeated tonight.
The introduction of Jane Eyre, best beloyed of all fiction heroines, to the screen, in the Select photodrama, “Womart and ife, ’ starring Alice Brady, is a notable event which has been awaited with -the keenest interest. This masterpiece by Charldtte Bronte, has made Jane Eyre a household word, and sharing in her popularity is the unfortunate Rochester, whom she loved so devotedly. This world-famous novel enjoys a doubly-high reputation, for seldom is a classic hailed by gen-i oration after generation with such love and interest by readers of both sexes of all ages,'and in all lands. “Jane Eyre” has been translated into a score of tongues, and in each of them the book easily holds its own as a favourite of favourites. Alice Brady as the unfortunate Jane needs no fulsome praise—she docs not act the role, she is Jane Eyre. Don’t miss the picture, at the Royal to-morrow night.
