MOTOR ACCIDENT.
AT OIiOUA DOWNtf. A. serious motor Occident occurred. ;il Oroua Downs at mid-day yesterday. Air H. Procter, ol Palmerston North, was riding' a motor cycle along the road which 'branches oil from the Alain road just north oil the Oroua Downs cheese factory, and on turning on to the main road a collision occurred with a motor ear driven by Air 0. H. Dridger, of Stratford. At this corner the view is somewhat obstructed by trees. The motor cycle was completely wrecked, and the force of the impact was sufficient to throw the car right across the tramline and face in the opposite direction. Air Prod or was badly injured on the head. Dr. Alulhollaud, of Poxton, who was communicated with, stitched up the wounds, aud the injured man was removed to the Palmerston Hospital, There was a lapse of practically four hours from the time of .the; accident until the patient's admission to the hospital, the ambulance not being available, as it was in use at the Woodville races. Air Procter’s condition is critical. Air Procter is a married man with three children.
