BOWLING.

Yesterday two teams from the local club, Nye and Rimmer (s) and McColl and Hislop (s), visited Palmerston North and took part in the Patriotic Pairs Tournament held under the auspices of the Manawatu Centre. Five rounds were played and both Foxton teams won two games and lost three. There was a good muster of both bowlers and croquet players on the local ground yesterday. Afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Bryant.
