The Rev D. C. Bates wires today as follows Westerly heavy gale with a southerly tendency temporarily ; the weather will probably prove squally and changeable; indications for electrical disturbances ; rain probable ; the barometer has a rising tendency, but unsteady. Sea heavy, tides good.
