FUEEER’S PICTURES.
“A SIREN OE CORSICA.”
Here is a play that stirs every emotion and retains its grip on an audience to the very last second. The end is probably one of the most exciting finishes to a play that has been shown in the past decade. Other pictures of interest are : ‘‘Gussle’s Wayward Path,” an amazingly funny Keystone, featuring the clever comedian, Syd. Chaplin ; ‘‘Conference of the French and British Ministers oi War,” interest; “The Terror oi the Mountains,” drama ; “The Pathe Gazette,” topical ; “Patty’s Sweetheart,” comedy. FRIDAY & SATURDAY.
Friday’s change of programme includes a powerful Vilagraph Co’s, drama entitled, “Regan’s Daughter.” The story concerns the life of a man who has a daughter whom he worships. Through uufortuuate circumstances he is known as a bad political man. To add to his bitterness, he is the enemy of a dectective known as Phillip Reardon. His daughter Mary is kept in ignorance of her father's trade and customs, and lives away in the Tennessee mountains. Mary Regan is the favourite of the district, and it is her father's desire that she will never know of his present life, and he hopes to soon amass enough of wealth to retire and make her future life one of luxury. From this out the play is filled with dramatic surprises and holds the attention and sympathy ot the audience till the dramatic finale. A full complement of supporting items of exceptional merit.
