e> Captain Edwin wires to-day:— Wind ga!e from between N.E. and N. and W. at most places nor hward of Napier, Tanpo and Raglan, with rain. Strong winds from between N.E. and E. and B.E. probably with rain from thruce south-ward to Timaru and Queens'own. Strong W. and S.W. and Sooth wind*, probably with rain elsewhere. Barometer further fall everywhere, bat rising generally after 12 hoars. Sea heavy on all Eastern Coast, and after 16' hoars on all Western Coast. Tides high on all Eastern Const, good and increa-dng on all Western Coast.
