A unique fan, with vellum leaves richly decorated in embossed gold, is one of the possessions moscherished by Adeliua Patti. William 1., Emperor of "Germany, put, " To the nightingale of all time." Queen Christina. " To the Spaniard whom a queen is proud to count among her subjects." Patti, though of Italian parents, was born at Madrid, and sang her first song a!; Cuba ; therefor Ehe really may be claimed by Spain as a subject.
