Gorton & Son's Stock Report.
Bulls, 20th August.
In spite of the bad weather the stock came forward at our Campbelltown sale on Friday, and we on the whole had a very fair sale. On Saturday we offered at Feilding about 25 horses. Messrs Hocken Bros as usual Jbrought those they had for sale forward in splendid order. Those Mr Hoult brought from Christchurch unfortunately got down in the truck coming up from Wellington, which interfered somewhat with their sale, though we were able to sell three or four of them. Our quotations are : — Cattle. — Fat heifers, £5 5s ; milk* era, £6 10s to £6 12s 6d ; 2-year heifers, £6 ; yearlings, 85s to £2 ss ; weaners, 255.
Sheep. — Hoggets, 5s to 7s 8d ; fat ewes, 9s sd ; old ewes, 4s.
