The member for the district and the county chairman were struck out of the Board proposed, which will consist only of the Surveyor General, Commissioner of Taxes, and Crown Lands. An addition was made to the clause providing that an owner should have nine months to clear his stock off the land taken under this Act, and an addition to clause 6, providing that within five miles of the four cities the limitation of land held should be reduced to 500 acres was also made. Progress was reported, and the House adjourned at 8.40 a.m.
