Strange Case of Abduction
A peculiar case of kidnapping in a suburb of Lunden has attracted much atteution. A few weeks ago a childwife, aged 16 years and 8 months, met a nurse girl in charge of a one-year-old infant belonging to a w -alfchy family. After admiring the child she sent the girl on an errand and when the maid returned the baby and the young woman had gone. It was proved that the child wife took the baby home, cut off its hair, and went to bed with it. When her husband, a boy of 16, returned, he found his wife in bed with an infant, which she declared was their joint property. Thtf boy was rather surprised to find himself a father, but he did not know much about babies, and believed it. He explained to the magistrate afterwards that he did not become suspioious till he found the baby had eight teeth. The young wife's sister called the next day, and was told the same •ttory. She knew more about babies. She could get no explanation, however, and finally took the baby and carried it to a police station. The whole police force of the metropolis had been searching for the baby, which was returned unharmed to it« .Hstraoted parentß
