Abraham & William's Stock Report
Cattle were plentiful at our Pal mevston yards on Wednesday, and stock throughout changed hands at reduced prices; female cattle were neglected. Sheep moved off slow at auction, but all were eventually disposed of. We found old ewes ve<y much out of faver, and rateß for these are deidedly low. We quote —
Cattle — Medium fat bullocks, £6 to £6 3s 9i ; do. cows. £4 10< ; 3 year old steers, £4 lls ; 2 year do.. £3 11m 61 ; to £3 18-t 6d ; 18 months do., £2 16s ; springers, £5 to £5 10-? ; others, £4 to £4 18s ; weaners, poor quality, 23-t 6d to 255. Sheep Forward ewes, 6^ 7d ; fat do., 7s lid ; store ewes, ss ; ewes and lambs, all counted, 53 lOd; mixed two toothi, 8s 6d to 9s ; lambs, 6s 6d.
