A new Apparatus for the Canal of Suez.
An agent of the; Sue^Canal Company has invented an apparatus to split the electric lights that illuminate the canal into two divergent streams, one sending out rays' one way, the other in the opposite direction. This enables ships to approach each, ot^ier and raqet perfect safety. Formerly^ (he v*iig£ts blinded pilots so that they couid.jnpt see vessels coming in the oppojj&e direction. .•/•*•*»«!.
