OTAKI MAOEI RACING CLUB.
The abcftre Club's Hack Meeting took place yesterday. The weather wasjfige, the racing fairly good, and theTTOendance large. A protest was lodged against McMorran in the Boyle Plate for foul riding, which delayed the races fully throe-quarters of an hour. The course vas very rough in places, but no accidents occumed. When-about three parts of the journey McMSrran, on Primus, attempted to jam Walls, on Laitiere, but not succeeding, he (McMorran) drew his whip and used it most unmercifully on Wall and his mount for some distance. A protest was' * aT once lodged against McMorran for foul riding ; but the stewards, much to the disgust of the public, refused to uphold the protest, and did not even censure McMorran. Notice was given to the Secretary that the protest would be submitted , to the Metropolitan Club to test the decision of the stewards. Dividend £4 Is. GLASGOW PLATE, of 60 SJ3OVS.
